Welcome to our new ACE 2013 interactive schedule application, Sched! With Sched you can easily read session descriptions and speaker bios. Personalize Sched by creating a custom schedule based on the sessions you are interested in attending using the Sched website or mobile app. You can view your schedule as a simple list, detailed view, or grid view; sort by venue or session type; and identify each activity at a glance with Sched’s useful color-coding system. Once you are headed to or arrive at the convention, you can print or sync your schedule to your smart phone for easy viewing!

The ACE Sched even highlights friends and contacts also attending, so after you create a Sched profile, connect using your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare accounts to network ahead of time.

A hybrid traditional and tele-intensivist model is a model of care using traditional intensivist care during the day and remote presence technology after-hours (5pm-7am). The remote presence physician's activities mimic that of an in-house intensivist. They review patient treatment plans, interact with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other caregivers, as well as discuss the patient's status with family members. These physicians evaluate new admissions to the ICU and can be available to participate in rapid response alerts and inpatient deteriorations. Because the remote presence device is guided by many of the same physicians present in-house during a patient's stay, continuity is improved and the patient/family-physician relationships are enhanced.

While some technical limitations exist, this hybrid model of care increased physician presence and accessibility, benefitting patients, their families and caregivers. The improved physician presence allowed the community hospitals to care for higher acuity patients, smoother shift transitions and enhanced communication between caregivers.

Attendees will understand this hybrid traditional and tele-intensivist model of care, the clinical and financial outcomes perceived to be associated with the hybrid traditional and tele-intensivist model of care, and the patient and staff perception and satisfaction with a hybrid traditional and tele-intensivist model of care.
